About

Like the curious raven, I have always enjoyed collecting shiny objects. While I've spent my life creating art – earning a Fine Arts degree, working as a portrait artist, an art teacher, a professional photographer and more – it wasn't until 2007 when I discovered beading that I found my most fulfilling artistic expression; I have been passionately beading ever since.

Peyote beading, my favorite technique, is one of the most versatile. It has been used since ancient times by artisans all around the world, from the Egyptians to the Native Americans.

For me, beading is a creative meditation: Each piece of jewelry is a unique invention centered around a particular semi-precious stone, gem, or hand-crafted medallion collaboratively designed and forged with my beloved husband Mark.

I am currently collecting shiny objects in the Blue Ridge Mountain town of Asheville, North Carolina with my husband, my son, and our hundred-thousand honeybees.
